Most people choose to use the drop in sear burner in the far left position. To install, remove the grate and briquette tray. The burner is usually secured with a cotter pin which will need to be removed in order to remove the burner. Once the cotter pin is removed, remove the burner. Place the sear burner in the same opening the burner was just removed from safely positioning the orifice in the center of the burner. Replace the grate only as the briquette tray is not needed for this setup. Light as normal.
