Empire offers ceramic fiber, traditional refractory concrete, and Burncrete® logs. Each log is hand-painted to bring out the rich detail. Vent-Free Burners are approved for use in any certified vent-free firebox. They may be also installed in an existing wood-burning fireplace, with the damper closed, to operate as a vent-free heating system. For applications where you want the ambiance of a fire without the heat, our Millivolt and manual burners are also certified for installation as decorative vented log sets.
Crafted after actual birch logs, the White Mountain Hearth Ceramic Fiber Birch Log 18" Set is hand painted and realistic-looking. Once stacked on a burner, the four piece ceramic log set will create a natural looking fire with dancing and flickering flames coming up between the logs. Unlike a wood fire the vent-free logs generate consistent, controlled heat without flare-ups or die-downs. A Vent-Free Burner may be installed in a vented fireplace for use as a decorative appliance. A decorative appliance operates with an on/off switch or remote, and may not operate with a thermostat.
