Across a 30" body that is a dense heat load, which is what allows the searing temperatures the Pro-Sear grid is designed for.
What are the cutout dimensions?
27 1/2" wide, 22" deep and 10" high.
How far does the grill stick out past the island?
The body is 26" deep overall against a 22" cutout depth, so roughly 4" of the grill sits forward of the opening. Overall it measures 30" wide and 23" tall.
What is the Pro-Sear cooking grid?
It is a thermal cooking grid in 14-gauge 304 stainless that stores and transfers heat rather than just holding food. Sunstone rates it to reach 800°F for searing.
Why is the grid spacing uneven?
It is variable on purpose. Different rod spacing across the grid gives you a section suited to large cuts and a section suited to smaller items, without swapping grates.
Is a rotisserie included?
No. Dual high and low rotisserie rods are listed as an upgrade for this grill, not as standard equipment.
What keeps flare-ups down?
The Spill-Away oil warming grid routes drippings away from the flame, and the Heat-Riser warming grid spreads heat more evenly so you get fewer hot spots feeding a flare.
Can I see what I am doing at night?
Yes. The control knobs are LED lit and the interior has halogen lighting, so the knob positions and the food are both visible after dark.
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Both configurations are offered. Confirm which fuel type you are ordering against the gas line at your island before you buy.
How do the burners light?

Should I step up to the 36-inch Ruby instead?
It depends on how much surface you need. This 30" model gives you three burners and 45,000 BTUs in a 27 1/2" cutout.
The Ruby 36" RUBY4B adds a fourth burner and 60,000 BTUs, but needs a 33 1/2" cutout, so the island framing changes with it.
