Description
The Sunstone Ruby 36" 4 Burner Pro-Sear Grill is a premium outdoor cooking solution designed for high-heat searing, even heat distribution, and unmatched durability. Made from all 304 stainless steel, this grill features exclusive I-Burners delivering 60,000 BTUs and an integrated Flame-Thrower Ignition system for effortless startups. The Pro-Sear Thermal Cooking Grid ensures even heat transfer, reaching 700°F with the hood up and 800°F with the hood down in under three minutes.
With variable cooking grid spacing, the wider gaps on the left and right accommodate larger cuts of meat, while the narrower center spacing is ideal for smaller items. The Heat-Riser warming grid enhances heat circulation, reducing cold spots, while the Spill-Away Oil Warming Grid minimizes flare-ups. This grill also features LED-lit control panels, halogen interior lights, and back hood wind guards for an enhanced grilling experience.

What size opening does the RUBY4B drop into?
Cut 33 1/2" wide by 22" deep by 10" high.
Those are the numbers to give your island builder. Overall grill dimensions are not published in this listing, so use the spec sheet if you need clearance in front of the opening.
How many burners and how much output?
Four I-Burners rated at 60,000 BTUs combined. The burners themselves are fabricated from 11-gauge 304 stainless, which is thicker stock than the grill body uses.
How quickly does it get to searing temperature?
Under three minutes. Sunstone rates the Pro-Sear thermal grid at 700°F with the hood up and 800°F with the hood down in that time.
Practically, that means preheat is short enough that you are not waiting on the grill to catch up to the food.
Why do the cooking grid rods have different gaps?
The spacing is wider on the left and right and narrower in the center. Large cuts go on the outside sections, and smaller items sit over the tighter center spacing so they do not fall through.
What are the cooking grids made of?
14-gauge 304 stainless steel, in the Pro-Sear thermal grid pattern. The whole grill is all-304 construction.
Will drippings cause flare-ups?
The Spill-Away oil warming grid is designed to carry oil away before it reaches the burners, and the Heat-Riser system circulates heat to cut down on cold spots that make cooking uneven.
Does it handle wind?
There are back hood wind guards built into the grill. They shield the burners at the back of the cooking chamber, which is the exposed side in most island installs.
What lighting does it have?
An LED-lit control panel and halogen interior lights.
Can I add a rotisserie later?
Yes. Dual high and low rotisserie rods are listed as an upgrade for this grill rather than standard equipment.
How do I get to the components once it is built in?
Through the drop-open service panel at the front, which opens for access without pulling the grill out of the island.
The warming rack also stows away when you are not using it, so it is out of the way during high-heat cooking.
Is the 42-inch Ruby a big enough jump to matter?
It is a different class of grill. This 36" has four burners at 60,000 BTUs.
The Ruby 42" RUBY5BIR runs five burners plus a 15,000 BTU infrared rotisserie back burner, and includes the rotisserie rod and motor that are an upgrade here.
