It runs 2 U-shaped 304 stainless main burners at 26,000 BTU each — 52,000 BTUs across 543 square inches of main grate, plus a 212 square inch secondary rack for 755 square inches total. A 12,000 BTU infrared back burner handles rotisserie work. The "T" in ALT30T is the U-tube stainless burner, which is what separates Alturi from the cast red brass burners in the Estate series above it.

Thirty inches is the size that fits islands where the grill has to share the run with a side burner, storage and a refrigerator. Two burners across 543 square inches of main grate is enough for a family dinner with room to work, and the 212 square inch warming rack above it keeps finished food out of the way instead of crowding the cook.

Under the grates sits a ceramic briquette flame tamer system rather than the steel tamers used elsewhere in the range. Ceramic holds heat and re-radiates it, which evens out the hot line directly over each burner and vaporizes drippings instead of letting them pool. Stainless heat zone separators come with the grill so you can run genuinely different temperatures side by side.

Alturi is the series where the lighting is the signature. Angle-mounted interior halogen lights wash the grate from corner to corner rather than throwing a hot spot down the middle, and the control knobs are LED backlit so you can read your settings at night. A double-lined, spring-assisted hood holds wherever you leave it, a 3" analog thermometer reads hood temperature, and flame thrower ignition with a manual flash-tube backup lights the burners without batteries.
