It runs 3 U-shaped 304 stainless main burners at 26,000 BTU each — 78,000 BTUs across 660 square inches of main grate, plus a 260 square inch secondary rack for 920 square inches total. A 12,000 BTU infrared back burner handles rotisserie work. The "T" in ALT36T is the U-tube stainless burner, which is what separates Alturi from the cast red brass burners in the Estate series above it.

Thirty-six inches is the volume size of the range and the one most outdoor kitchens are drawn around. The third burner turns two-zone cooking into three-zone cooking — sear, hold, rest — across 660 square inches of main grate, which is the difference between cooking for a family and cooking for a party.

Under the grates sits a ceramic briquette flame tamer system rather than the steel tamers used elsewhere in the range. Ceramic holds heat and re-radiates it, which evens out the hot line directly over each burner and vaporizes drippings instead of letting them pool. Stainless heat zone separators come with the grill so you can run genuinely different temperatures side by side.

Alturi is the series where the lighting is the signature. Angle-mounted interior halogen lights wash the grate from corner to corner rather than throwing a hot spot down the middle, and the control knobs are LED backlit so you can read your settings at night. A double-lined, spring-assisted hood holds wherever you leave it, a 3" analog thermometer reads hood temperature, and flame thrower ignition with a manual flash-tube backup lights the burners without batteries.
