The Alturi 42" Rotisserie Kit (ROTKIT-ALT42-A) is the model-specific spit assembly for the Alturi 42" grill. It pairs with the grill's infrared back burner, which is the half of the system already built into the hood — this kit supplies the other half.

The kit includes a weather-protected stainless steel motor and a spit rod and fork set. Weather protection on the motor is not a detail: it is the component that lives outside, gets rained on and is the usual failure point on cheaper rotisserie hardware.

The 42" spit is the longest in the Alturi range and the one that makes a full rib roast or a row of chickens practical. Length is the constraint on rotisserie cooking far more often than heat is.

Rotisserie cooking is self-basting by design — the meat turns through its own rendered fat rather than sitting in it, which is why a rotisserie chicken has skin a roasting pan cannot match.
