Frequently Asked Questions

What are the actual dimensions of the Milan 32?

It measures 72" wide, 16" deep and 32" high. The 32 in the name is the height, not the length.

That long, shallow shape matters when you plan the patio: it needs a run of about six feet, but it only takes back sixteen inches of depth.

Is this a fire table or a fire pit?

A table. It stands 32" tall with a narrow 16" deep top, so you use it standing or perched rather than seated low around it.

How much heat does it produce?

65,000 BTU on natural gas and 65,000 BTU on propane. The rating does not drop when you switch fuels, which is unusual enough to be worth knowing if you are running propane.

Can I order it for propane instead of natural gas?

Yes. Fuel options are natural gas or propane, and both are rated at 65,000 BTU. Decide which supply your patio has before you order, since the fuel is set as part of the configuration.

How big is the burner?

It is a 48" stainless steel linear burner set into the 72" top, so the flame runs as a single long line rather than a cluster in the middle.

How do you light it?

It is match lit. The manual flame sensing control system uses a flame sensing thermocouple, and you raise or lower the flame by hand once it is burning.

What is the AWEIS version and how does it differ?

AWEIS is American Fyre Designs' all-weather electronic ignition system, offered on this table as model 215-xx-11-F8xC. It is also rated higher, at 75,000 BTU on natural gas and 75,000 on propane, against 65,000 for the match-lit table.

The trade is push-button lighting and more output versus the simpler manual control system.

What is the table made of?

Handcrafted glass fiber reinforced concrete, usually written GFRC. It is a cast material, not fabricated sheet metal, which is what gives the Milan its slab-sided look.

What does the model number 215-BA-11 M8xC mean?

That is the exact configuration pictured, and BA is the Black Lava finish. On the electronic ignition model the finish position is written as xx (215-xx-11-F8xC), so check that the finish code in your model designation is the color you actually want before ordering.

Is it certified?

It is certified to ANSI standards, the same as the other American Fyre Designs firetables.

How does it compare with the Voro Cube firetable?

Shape and scale are the whole difference. The Milan is a 72" x 16" rectangle at 32" high with a 48" linear burner; the Voro Cube is 25.5" square at 22.75" high with a 12" star-shaped burner.

Choose the Milan if you want a long line of flame at standing height, and the cube if you want a low centerpiece for lounge seating.
