What cutout does the C-LPCD20 need?
18-1/2" wide by 24-1/2" high by 16" deep. The unit itself is 20" wide, 17" deep and 27" high, and weighs 19 pounds.
Note the 27" overall height against the 24-1/2" cutout height, so the frame overlaps the opening rather than sitting inside it.
Can it hold a trash bin instead of a propane tank?
Either one. The base is tested for heavy propane tanks, and an adjustable trash ring is integrated so you can drop in a trash bag or a bin instead.
That makes it a reasonable pick when you have one bay left and have not decided which job it needs to do. Other propane tank storage options are worth comparing if the bay is only ever going to hold a tank.
Why a swivel door rather than a pull-out drawer?
The door swings rather than sliding out, so the unit fits in tight spots where there is no room to pull an entire drawer clear before reaching the tank or trash.
Is it vented for propane?
Yes. The swivel door is front vented with built-in door vents, which is what provides venting for propane gas inside the enclosure.
What is the door made of?
The frame and all parts are 16 gauge 304 stainless. The door panel is 18 gauge 304 stainless with a light horizontal #4 brushed finish, and the handle is cast and chrome plated.
