RCS RJCSB3A vs RSB3A: Premier Pro or Cutlass Pro Power Burner?

The RCS Premier Pro RJCSB3A and Cutlass Pro RSB3A both publish 60,000 BTU total output and wok support. The Cutlass Pro adds specified 304 stainless construction, control lighting and different warranty terms. Installation dimensions differ too. Higher price here does not mean a higher listed maximum BTU output.

What does the Cutlass Pro premium buy?

RCS specifies 304 stainless construction and blue control lighting for RSB3A. Its current warranty lists lifetime defect coverage for Cutlass Pro series side burners to the original owner, while Premier series side burners have 15-year coverage. These are limited warranties with exclusions and conditions; “lifetime” does not mean every ownership expense is covered.

RCS's warranty excludes specified wear and corrosion conditions and does not cover shipping or labor to remove and install replacement parts. Read the current terms rather than treating warranty duration as the whole comparison.

The openings are not identical

Both bare appliances require 14 inches in width, but Premier Pro lists an 8-inch opening height and Cutlass Pro lists 9-1/4 inches. Their required depths differ as well. That is enough to rule out an assumed direct swap.

If the enclosure requires a liner, compare the liner's opening instead. LJRJCSB3A is listed for Premier Pro; LJRSB3A is listed for Cutlass Pro RSB3A. Equal liner prices do not imply interchangeable parts.

How to choose

Choose RJCSB3A as the lower-cost starting point if its features and installation suit the project. Choose RSB3A when its specified construction, lighting and warranty terms justify the premium for you.

At this check, the burner-only premium was $330 for propane or $380 for natural gas. Once a required liner is included, the checked equipment subtotals are $1,758 for Premier Pro, $2,088 for Cutlass Pro propane or $2,138 for Cutlass Pro natural gas. Installation is additional.

RCS comparison FAQs

Will RSB3A boil faster because it costs more?

These specifications do not establish that. Both publish the same total input; cookware, supply and conditions affect heating.

Can I reuse a Premier Pro liner with Cutlass Pro?

Do not assume so. Match the approved liner to the exact burner model and check installation dimensions.

Which is better for replacing an existing burner?

The one that satisfies the measured opening, enclosure, utilities and clearances. Start with fit rather than series prestige.
