Side & Power Burner Costs: Equipment, Liners & Installation

The burner price is only part of an installed budget. Price the correct fuel variant, any required liner, optional cover and utility or countertop work together. A lower-cost appliance can become the more expensive project if it needs substantial changes to an existing kitchen.

Northwoods Grills prices checked October 8, 2026. Check the selected fuel variant for current price and availability. Installation and optional accessories are additional.

Ask the installer to separate these costs

  • Gas supply: capacity review, line routing, shutoff access and approved connections.
  • Electrical work: any supply required for ignition or lighting.
  • Opening and support: countertop cutting, cabinet modification and required appliance support.
  • Enclosure: approved materials, ventilation, liner installation and clearances.
  • Completion: commissioning, cleanup and any local permit requirements.

There is no reliable universal installation price without a site scope. Ask for a written quote showing which work is included and who is responsible for coordinating it. For an existing kitchen, photographs and measured dimensions help identify work before the appliance ships.

How to reduce cost without buying the wrong burner

Start from how you cook. A single burner may suit one saucepan; a double may serve two separate sides. A power burner becomes relevant for approved larger cookware or wok cooking. Compare equipment that performs the needed job before comparing decorative features.

On a replacement, an appliance suited to the existing opening may avoid substantial modification, but width alone does not establish suitability. Use the replacement fit checklist. Avoid ordering the cheapest model first and asking the installer to make it work afterward.

Budget FAQs

Can I keep an entire project under $1,000?

Possibly with a lower-priced burner and a suitable existing installation, but obtain a site-specific quote. An appliance below $1,000 does not guarantee a project below $1,000.

Is the liner an optional upgrade?

Not when required by the manufacturer's installation conditions. Include it in the project scope before fabrication.

Why do fuel variants have different totals?

Appliance prices can differ, as can the connection work. Use the selected variant, not only the listing's starting price.
