RCS is proud to provide the industry’s most comprehensive warranty.
All RCS American Renaissance Grills, Cutlass Pro Series Grills and Cutlass Pro Series side burners, sinks, briquette trays, as well as ALL doors and drawers are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the original owner.
All RCS Premier Series Grills and Premier Series Side Burners are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 15 years to the original owner.
All RCS Refrigeration products are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 7 years to the original owner.
All other products carry a one-year warranty to the original owner.
This RCS warranty is effective for product sales beginning April 14th, 2025.

This warranty excludes normal surface corrosion, discoloration, surface scratches and surface rust which may occur. Improper maintenance, salt spray, chemicals, pesticides will affect the look and integrity of the components of these products. RCS will not be responsible for any damage caused as a result of not following owner’s manual instructions. This non-transferrable warranty is limited to the replacement of original (one-time) defective parts, does not include shipping and labor to remove or install replacement parts, if necessary. The owner must retain and submit their original receipt with any warranty claim to receive warranty parts. The warranty applies to the original owner only. How much heat does the CEG38 produce?
80,000 BTUs from four main burners. That is the highest main-burner output of the RCS heads listed here, and it is matched to 760 square inches of cooking space.
What island opening does it require?
41 1/4" wide, 20" deep, 11" high. Build to those numbers; the 11" height in particular is deeper than older 8 1/4" drop-in pockets.
How much food fits on it?
760 square inches of cooking surface. With heat zone separators in place, that area can be split into distinct temperature zones rather than run as one flat field of heat.
What do the heat zone separators do?
They physically divide the cooking chamber between burners so one section can run hot for searing while another idles for holding or indirect cooking.
Are the grids different from ordinary rod grates?
Yes. The CEG38 uses square-surface Searmarx grids, which present a flat top face to the food instead of the narrow line a round rod gives.
Is rotisserie cooking included or extra?
Included. A rear rotisserie burner and a full rotisserie kit come with the grill.
What lighting does it have?
Internal halogen lights inside the hood plus color-changing LED lights on the control knobs. There is also an easy-read temperature gauge on the hood.
Can I smoke on this grill?

Does the CEG38 use the same cutout as the Cutlass Pro 38?
It does — both are 41 1/4" x 20" x 11". The difference is what sits in the opening: the Elite delivers 80,000 BTUs across four burners with Searmarx grids, while the Cutlass Pro RON38B runs four 15,000 BTU cast stainless burners for 60,000 BTUs.
Is a 38" grill worth it over the 30" Elite?
The step up buys 160 more square inches of grate and a fourth burner: 760 square inches at 80,000 BTUs here versus 600 square inches at 60,000 BTUs on the CEG30. It also demands 8 1/4" more island width at the cutout.
