The Primo Cart Base with Basket for Oval Junior is the plain cart for the smallest Oval — the base and its basket, with no side shelves attached. It is the least involved way to get a Junior off a table and standing on its own support.
It is also the anchor part for the Junior cart accessories. The separately sold stainless steel side shelves for the Junior are listed as requiring this cart, SKU PG00318, so if you plan to add work surface at any point, this is the base that has to be underneath it. Buying the cart now and the shelves later works; buying shelves without this cart does not.
Choose it if you want the grill freestanding and are content to work off a nearby table, or if you are spreading the spend and want the stand first. If you already know you want surfaces on both sides, the combined cart-and-shelves listing gets you there in one go.
It is made for the Primo Oval Junior ceramic charcoal grill. Add the Primo stainless steel side shelves for the Oval Junior now or later, or take the Junior cart base with shelves already fitted instead. Primo lists a grill cover for an Oval Junior in a cart, and the wider range sits in Primo grill accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this cart fit my Primo Oval Junior?
Yes, the Oval Junior is the grill it is listed for, and it is the only one. Primo cart bases are made for a single Oval size, so this will not carry a Large, X-Large or XX-Large, and the carts for those sizes will not hold a Junior. Match the size word in the title to your grill.
Does this cart come with side shelves?
No. This listing is the cart base and basket alone. Side shelves for the Junior are a separate purchase, sold as the Primo Stainless Steel Side Shelves for Oval Junior, or you can buy the two already together as the combined cart-and-shelves listing for this size.
If I want shelves eventually, do I need this exact cart?
Yes. The Junior side shelves are listed as requiring the Primo Cart Base with Basket for Junior, SKU PG00318, which is this product. That makes it the right starting point for a staged build: cart first, shelves when you want them, with no risk of ending up with parts that will not go together.
Should I buy this or the version that already has shelves?
Buy this one if you want the grill standing on its own and already have a table or counter to work on, or if you are splitting the cost across two purchases. Buy the cart with shelves included if you know you want surface beside the Junior from day one.
Does the grill come with this cart?
No. This is the support only, bought to go under a grill you own or are buying separately. If you are still choosing the cooker, the Oval Junior grill head is a separate listing, and Primo also sells Junior All-In-One packages that arrive with their own stand rather than needing a cart like this one.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.

I was caught in a bind with a DIFFERENT provider, and Ryan was able to get me exactly what I needed, he reached out to the manufacturer for me to confirm specs and had my shipment mailed out same day. If you’re in the market for any outdoor kitchen needs, look no further than Northwoods!
