Frequently Asked Questions
What cutout do I need for the single, double or triple drawer?
All three share a 12-1/4" wide cutout; only the height changes. The single B-SD6 needs 6-1/2" of height, the double B-DD12 needs 12-1/2", and the triple B-TD18 needs 18-3/4".
Frame out the width once and you can decide between the three configurations later in the build.
How much space does each set take up in the island?
Every version is 14" wide and 23" deep. Overall height runs 8-1/2" for the single, 14-3/8" for the double and 20-1/4" for the triple. Weights are 23, 37 and 53 pounds in the same order.
Which model number matches which drawer count?
B-SD6 is the single, B-DD12 is the double and B-TD18 is the triple. Confirm the model designation before you order so the drawer count matches the cutout you built.
Can I combine these to fill a wider run?
Yes. Sunstone lists stacking two double sets, placing three singles side by side, or using the all-in-one triple, whose bottom drawer is larger than either of the other drawer styles.
The 14" width is sized to sit flush beneath a Sunstone single or double side burner, which is what keeps an island face symmetrical. Other grill drawers can fill the remaining bays.
How are the drawers built for outdoor use?
The frame is 16 gauge 304 stainless, the drawer cabinet is 20 gauge 304 stainless, and the outer box is 18 gauge galvanized sheet. Handles are chrome-plated zinc alloy.
Each drawer box is fully sealed and rides on soft-closing tracks with a weatherized secure closing action, so the contents stay shut in and covered.
