Will a liquid propane tank fit inside?
Yes, that is what the TF-DR1-20LP-A is sized for. The same pull-out also works as a trash or recycling bin if you run on natural gas and just need the space.
What cutout does it need?
18" wide x 20 1/2" deep x 24 3/4" high. It installs flush into that opening, so the face sits level with the rest of your island panels.
What are the outside dimensions?
20" wide, 16.1" deep and 27" high. Note that the required cutout is deeper than the drawer box itself, which gives the slide hardware room to work behind the unit.
Why does a propane drawer need to be vented?
A sealed cabinet is the wrong place for an LP tank, which is why this drawer is built vented rather than solid. The venting is designed into the unit; you are not adding louvers yourself.
What does double-walled construction do here?
It adds rigidity. TrueFlame builds the drawer double-walled specifically so the island stays stable around a 20" opening carrying a full tank.
How does the front look?
