What cutout does the TF-TDC-17-A need?

Build a standard cutout of 16" wide x 20 3/4" deep x 27 3/4" high. The unit installs flush into that opening.

TrueFlame lists it as fitting island openings from 15" to 19 7/8" wide, so there is some room to work with if your framing is already up.

How big is the unit itself?

17.7" wide, 20.9" deep and 30.3" high. The face is wider than the cutout because the flange overlaps the opening.

How many drawers do I get and how do they slide?

Two. Both are soft-close and ride on heavy-duty full-extension tracks with ball-bearing slides, so they pull all the way out and shut without slamming.

Where is the paper towel holder?

It is built into the unit rather than being a separate accessory you bolt on. The roll stays part of the same stainless assembly, so nothing hangs off your island.

Why choose a vertical unit instead of a wider drawer bank?

Because it is only 17.7" wide but 30.3" tall, this stacks its storage upward instead of sideways. That is the trade you make when the island has height to spare but not much horizontal run left between a grill and a door.
