Artisan builds 304 stainless steel outdoor grills aimed at buyers who want premium construction and high burner output without stepping into luxury pricing.
The lineup is deliberately simple: two series, four sizes, and 304 stainless across the board. Browse the full Artisan collection or go straight to Artisan built-in grills.
Artisan builds two built-in families:
Professional Series: the flagship line, offered as the 32-inch at 60,000 BTUs, the 36-inch at 75,000 BTUs, and the 42-inch at 75,000 BTUs with an infrared rotisserie burner. All three include rotisserie systems and 304 stainless construction.
American Eagle Series: the value line, offered as the 26-inch with 2 burners and 40,000 BTUs and the 36-inch with 3 burners and 60,000 BTUs.
Current promotional pricing across the flagship line is grouped in the Artisan Professional promo collection.
Both series are built from 304 stainless steel, so the difference is output and features rather than material grade.
Professional runs higher BTU output at each size and includes a rotisserie system. The 36-inch Professional delivers 75,000 BTUs versus 60,000 BTUs on the 36-inch American Eagle, and the 42-inch adds an infrared rotisserie burner.
American Eagle covers the same core grilling job at a lower price, and the 26-inch is the only Artisan built-in that fits a genuinely small island.
If you sear frequently or roast on a rotisserie, Professional is worth the step up. If you grill conventionally, American Eagle gives you the same 304 stainless build for less.
Artisan built-in grills are available in 26-inch, 32-inch, 36-inch, and 42-inch configurations.
The 36-inch is available in both series and is the most popular size. The 26-inch American Eagle is the compact option, and the 42-inch Professional is the entertaining size.
Select the exact model before island construction so your contractor works from the manufacturer's current cutout dimensions rather than the advertised grill width.
For most residential outdoor kitchens, the 36-inch Professional is the strongest choice: 75,000 BTUs, rotisserie, and 304 stainless in the most common cutout size.
For a tighter budget at the same width, the 36-inch American Eagle delivers the same footprint and material.
For entertaining, the 42-inch Professional adds the infrared rotisserie burner. Our general built-in grill FAQs cover island planning.
Yes. Both the Professional and American Eagle series specify 304-grade stainless steel, the material standard across premium built-in grills for corrosion resistance.
This is one of Artisan's stronger selling points, since several competing brands reserve 304 stainless for their upper series only. A fitted grill cover and routine cleaning still matter for how the grill ages.
Yes. Every Artisan built-in grill is designed for installation into an outdoor kitchen island.
Before construction, verify the manufacturer's current:
Cutout width
Cutout depth
Cutout height
Combustible clearances
Ventilation requirements
Gas connection requirements
Insulating-jacket requirements
Do not size the opening from the advertised width. See our outdoor kitchen expert advice for island planning guidance.
An insulating grill liner may be required when a built-in grill is installed into an island built from combustible materials such as wood framing.
Whether one is required depends on the model, surrounding construction, and the clearances given in the installation instructions. Our insulating grill liner FAQs explain when a liner is needed and how to match one to your grill.
Yes. Artisan built-in grills are offered in natural gas and propane configurations.
Given the output on the Professional models, confirm that your gas supply and line sizing can support the appliance before installation. Undersized supply is a common cause of disappointing performance on high-BTU grills.
Our natural gas and propane grill FAQs compare the two in detail.
Artisan's use of 304 stainless throughout both series makes it a reasonable candidate for coastal outdoor kitchens.
Even so, salt, humidity, grease, and airborne contaminants should be cleaned off regularly, and the grill should be kept covered when not in use. See our grill cover FAQs for sizing help.
Artisan's differentiator is 304 stainless steel across the entire built-in range combined with high burner output for the price.
Shoppers cross-shopping Summerset, RCS, TrueFlame, or Bonfire should shortlist Artisan when material grade matters and they do not want to compromise on it at the entry level.
Artisan represents solid value in the middle of the built-in market.
The American Eagle models compete in the $2,000 to $3,500 tier while offering 304 stainless, and the Professional models move up in output and features without reaching luxury pricing. Watch the Artisan Professional promo collection for current pricing.
The 42-inch Professional, which pairs the rotisserie system with an infrared rotisserie burner for faster, more even roasting.
The 36-inch Professional and 32-inch Professional also include rotisserie systems if you want the capability in a smaller cutout.
The 26-inch American Eagle, with two burners and 40,000 BTUs, is the smallest built-in Artisan offers and suits balconies, courtyards, and compact islands.
If your opening allows a bit more, the 32-inch Professional adds a third burner, 60,000 BTUs, and a rotisserie for a meaningful step up.
Before ordering, settle on your series, size, fuel type, and available island space, and verify the exact cutout dimensions before any masonry or cabinetry work begins.
For a new build, select the grill and major appliances first so your contractor can design the island around real equipment specifications. If you are planning a full outdoor kitchen, request a quote and we can spec the package with you.
Artisan backs its grills with a manufacturer's warranty that varies by component. See our warranty information for current coverage, and general brand questions are answered in the Artisan FAQs.
