Frequently Asked Questions
Which griddle does this liner fit?
It is the 16-inch liner for the GEE40 and GFE40 Wee Griddle. Match the size and model designation on your griddle before ordering, since a liner only works with the unit it was cut for.
You can see the griddle it is built around in our 16" electric griddle listing.
Do I actually need an insulating liner?
You need one whenever the surround is combustible. The liner sits between the griddle and the island material and protects that combustible material from the heat, which is the whole reason it exists.
Verify your local code requirements before installation — they are what settle the question for your build.
Can I use it with a freestanding setup?
No. It is meant for built-in application, where the griddle is dropped into an island or cabinet. A griddle sitting on a cart or a countertop is not what this part is for.
What size is the liner?
It is listed at 17-1/2 by 17-1/2 by 7-1/4 inches for a 16-inch griddle, so the opening your island needs is larger than the griddle itself. Frame around the liner rather than around the griddle.
What is it made of?
Stainless steel construction, in a stainless finish. It is built to the same standard as the Le Griddle appliances it protects.
Will it work with another brand of griddle?
It is designed specifically for Le Griddle products, and this one for the 16-inch GEE40 and GFE40. Other sizes and brands are covered in our insulating liners collection.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
