The GEE40, GFE40 and OML40P3. All three take the same 40 Series frame, so an electric or gas choice does not change the part number you need.
What opening do I build for it?
The frame finishes a cut-out of 14-7/8 inches wide by 5-9/16 inches high, and measures 18-3/4 inches wide by 7-1/2 inches high overall.
Get those cut-out dimensions confirmed before your fabricator cuts anything. A trim kit covers small variances, not large ones.
Do I need the insulating liner as well?
Only if the surround is combustible. In that case you also need the matching GFLINER40 liner, which our insulating liners section covers along with the other sizes.
What is the frame made of?
304 stainless steel, made in the USA, in the same grade and finish as the griddle. That matters over time because the two age at the same rate instead of one discoloring next to the other after a season.

The GFFRAME40 is the finishing piece that makes a built-in 40 Series Le Griddle griddle look like it was always meant to be there. It fits the GEE40, GFE40 and OML40P3, covering the rough opening with a clean stainless frame and hiding the gap between the appliance and your cabinetry.
It is 304 stainless steel, made in the USA — the same grade and finish as the griddle itself, so it ages at the same rate rather than discoloring next to it after a season. Overall the frame measures 18-3/4" wide by 7-1/2" high, and it finishes a cut-out of 14-7/8" wide by 5-9/16" high.
Get the cut-out dimensions confirmed before your fabricator cuts anything — trim kits cover small variances, not large ones.
