The TrueFlame TF-VH42-3 is a 42-inch wall-mount canopy vent hood for an outdoor kitchen, supplied with a 2,000 CFM motor and a mounting bracket.
Airflow and configuration
The 2,000 CFM blower is the same motor TrueFlame fits to its 48", 60" and 72" hoods, so choosing the narrower 42-inch canopy does not cost you airflow. Only the 36-inch TF-VH36-2 steps down in this range, to 1,000 CFM.
Sizing it to your cooking line
Hood width should be matched to the cooking opening below it rather than to the overall length of the island. Measure the full span you need covered — the grill on its own, or the grill plus a side burner — before settling on 42 inches. Installation
A mounting bracket ships with the hood, but the wall or chase behind it has to be built to carry a canopy of this size.
