A hingeless design with a modern handle and a 1-inch masonry return make it ideal for islands with stone or brick finishes. What size cutout does the TF-DC2-33M-A need?
Frame an opening 30 3/4" wide by 19 1/2" deep by 19 1/2" high. The unit itself is 32.36" wide, 20.5" deep and 21.5" high, so the face overlaps the opening on every side.
TrueFlame lists it for masonry islands with a 30" to 34 7/8" wide opening, which gives you some room to place the cutout within a wider run.
What does the 1-inch masonry return do?
It wraps an inch back over the face of the stone or brick. A standard flange is sized for a flat island face and can sit proud of a rough masonry surface, so the return is what lets this combo finish flush against tile, stone or brick.
How many drawers are in this combo?
Two drawers and one access door. Both drawers run on heavy-duty full-extension tracks with ball-bearing slides, so a drawer pulls all the way out rather than stopping partway.
What can I reach through the access door?
The inside of the island: gas connections, power, and open storage under the drawer bank. That is the reason to place it near the grill's gas hookup rather than at the far end of the run.
How does this compare to the standard 33-inch combo?
The difference is the masonry return and the cutout depth. This unit needs a 19 1/2" deep cutout, while the TF-DC2-33-A is built for a flat island face and a 20 1/2" deep cutout.
What is the combo made of?
304 stainless steel. It is the weather-resistant grade TrueFlame uses across this line, and the face wipes clean.
Is any hinge hardware visible on the front?
No. The door uses a hingeless design with a modern handle, so the island face reads as a flat panel with no hinge barrels along the edge.
