What cutout does the TF-DR2-17-A need?
15.25" wide by 19.375" high by 20.375" deep. The finished unit is 17"W x 22"H x 20.5"D, so the flanges lap onto the island face on every side of that opening.
How many drawers do I get?
Two, stacked, both soft-close on heavy-duty tracks. That splits a 17" column of island into separate spaces for tools and smaller accessories rather than one deep bin.
How heavy is it to set into an island?
76 lbs. It is worth knowing before install day, because the unit goes into the cutout as one assembly rather than being built up in place.
How does it hold itself in the opening?
Heavy-duty mounting flanges around the frame carry the unit and give it a seamless built-in fit against the island face.
Should I get this or the triple drawer?
Both are 17" wide, but the 17" triple drawer stands 30" tall against this one's 22" and splits the same width into three drawers. Choose by how much vertical island you have and whether you want deeper drawers or more of them.
