Alfresco 17" Door and Drawer Combo AXE-DDR - Soft-Close, Left or Right Handle
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have the handle on the left or the right?
Either. Order AXE-DDR-L-SC for a handle on the left or AXE-DDR-R-SC for a handle on the right.
Decide before you order, because the handle side is fixed in the model number rather than switched during installation.
Is this one component or a separate door and drawer?
One component. The door and the drawer are combined in a single 17-inch unit that goes into one opening in the island.
Is the hardware soft-close?
Yes. The SC on the end of AXE-DDR-L-SC and AXE-DDR-R-SC is the soft-close hardware.
What is it made of?
Stainless steel, specified by Alfresco for weather resistance and long-term outdoor use.
Why choose a combo over a plain door?
Because the two storage types do different jobs. A drawer keeps the small things you reach for mid-cook within grabbing distance, while the cabinet behind the door takes the bulkier items. One opening in the island covers both.
Will it match the rest of my Alfresco island?
Yes. Alfresco builds its doors, drawers and combinations as one matching selection meant to be mixed along a single island front. Compare the other door and drawer combos if you are still working out the layout.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
