How big is the grilling area on the ALXE-42?

770 sq. in. of actual grilling area, spread across three 18-SR stainless steel Accufire main burners.

At 42 inches wide, this is the size most people land on when the grill has to handle holidays and not just weeknights.

Is this a built-in grill or a freestanding one?

It is a built-in grill head, designed to drop into an outdoor kitchen island.

Alfresco also offers it with an optional standard cart, deluxe cart, or refrigerated cart if you would rather not build masonry.

What cart options are available?

Three: a standard cart, a deluxe cart, and a refrigerated cart. The refrigerated version puts cold storage directly under the grill head.

The ARXE-42C refrigerated cart is the model built to carry a 42-inch Alfresco grill head.

Does it come with a rotisserie?

Yes, the Mega-Drive rotisserie system is integrated and includes its own infrared burner.

How does the smoker work?

The Signature Taste smoking system is integrated and has a dedicated burner plus a drawer that holds wood chunks.

Because the smoker burner is separate from the main burners, you can run low smoke without lighting the grill surface.

Where does the warming rack go during rotisserie cooking?

Up and out of the way. The rack has three positions and stows so it does not interfere with the spit.

Can I add an infrared sear burner?

Yes. The infrared Sear Zone is offered as an option on the ALXE-42 rather than fitted as standard.

Does the ALXE-42 require an outlet?

Yes. The push-button ignition uses a sealed 110V AC power source.

Can I see what I am doing at night?

Two integrated high-intensity halogen work lights light the cooking surface.

Which fuel types can I order?

Liquid propane or natural gas. Pick the one your patio is already plumbed or tanked for, since the configuration is set at the factory.
