The Alturi 36" Built-In Deluxe Grill Cover (GRILLCOV-ALT36D) is cut specifically for the Alturi 36" built-in grill head, which is the whole point — a tailored cover sheds water instead of pooling it, and does not flap itself apart in wind the way a generic cover does. Constructed from heavy-duty PVC, fully water-resistant and UV-protected to slow the fading and embrittlement that kills cheap covers after two summers. Material is the part people skip when comparing covers, and it is the part that decides whether you buy one cover or one every eighteen months.
Behind that hood the Alturi 36 carries interior halogen lighting, LED knob illumination and an infrared back burner — all electrical, and all far more likely to fail from trapped moisture than from use. The cover is protecting components, not a finish.
Inside, a soft flannel backing sits against the stainless. An unlined cover traps grit against the finish and, with enough wind cycles, polishes fine scratches into it. The flannel layer is what keeps stainless looking like stainless. Covered by a 3-year warranty on covers.
