The American Outdoor Grills L-Series 24" Freestanding Grill pairs the lighted L-Series grill head with AOG's matching 24CRT-25 portable cart. You get built-in performance without having to build an outdoor kitchen. The grill head is built entirely from 304 stainless steel. Its two heavy-duty stainless steel U-shaped burners put out 32,000 BTUs across 432 square inches of primary cooking area. An additional 116 square inches of warming space brings the total to 548 square inches.
The L-Series stands out for its 10,000 BTU infrared rear back burner and the complete rotisserie kit that comes with it, so you can slow-roast whole chickens and roasts over even, rotating heat. Interior halogen lights illuminate the cooking surface for grilling after dark. Diamond Sear 304 stainless steel cooking grids deliver crisp sear marks and hold heat well.
The patented Flame Thrower ignition lights the burners instantly and reliably, and an analog heat-indicating thermometer helps you set the right temperature. The stainless steel cart turns the grill head into a freestanding grill. It has two fold-down side shelves for prep and serving space and access doors for storing tools and accessories underneath. Casters let you move it around the patio. Choose propane, where a tank ring holder keeps the tank secure in the cart, or natural gas for a continuous fuel supply from your home's gas line.

Do I need to build an island for this grill?
No. This package puts the L-Series 24" grill head on AOG's matching 24CRT-25 portable cart, so it stands on its own on a patio or deck with no masonry or cutout to build.
If you are building an outdoor kitchen anyway, the built-in L-Series 24" grill head is the same grill in a drop-in format.
What comes in this package?
The American Outdoor Grills L-Series 24" grill head (AOG24LP for propane or AOG24LN for natural gas) and the AOG 24CRT-25 portable cart base it sits on. The rotisserie kit is included with the grill head.
How many burners does it have and how much heat do they produce?
Two U-shaped stainless steel main burners producing 32,000 BTUs combined, plus a separate 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner at the back of the firebox.
Two main burners on a 24 inch grill give you a workable two-zone fire: one burner hot for searing, the other low for holding.
How much cooking space do I get?
432 square inches of primary grilling area on the Diamond Sear grids, plus 116 square inches of secondary warming space, for 548 square inches total.
Is the rotisserie kit included?
Yes. A complete rotisserie kit is included and works with the 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner, so nothing else is needed to start roasting.
The infrared burner radiates heat forward from the back wall rather than up from below, which keeps a turning roast cooking evenly while the U-burners handle direct grilling.
Should I choose propane or natural gas?
Choose propane if you want to run the grill from a tank. A tank ring holder in the cart keeps the tank secure underneath the grill.
Choose natural gas if you have a gas line to the patio and want a continuous fuel supply. The grill is configured for one fuel at the factory, so order the version that matches your supply.
How much prep and storage space does the cart have?
The cart has two fold-down side shelves for prep and serving space, and access doors underneath for storing tools and accessories. Casters let you reposition the grill on the patio.
Can I cook on this after dark?
Yes. Interior halogen lights illuminate the cooking surface, and an analog heat-indicating thermometer lets you read temperature without a flashlight.
What is the grill built from?
