American Outdoor Grills L-Series 30" Freestanding Cart Grill (LP or NG)

The AOG L-Series 30" is American Outdoor Grill's fully featured 30" head on its matching 30CRT-25 portable cart base. You get 540 sq. in. of primary grilling space, 45,000 BTU across three burners, a 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner with rotisserie kit and interior halogen lights, all without building an island. The grill is 304 stainless steel inside and out, and the cart's side shelves fold down when you need to roll it out of the way.

Same grill head, no masonry: if you are building a permanent outdoor kitchen instead, the built-in AOG30LP propane and AOG30LN natural gas models drop into a 30 1/2" countertop cutout.

Specifications

Propane or natural gas

Choose the fuel when you order, because the propane and natural gas versions are different grill heads. The propane cart keeps the cylinder out of sight on a tank ring behind the insulated doors. The natural gas cart runs off your home's gas line so there is no tank to refill; the natural gas hose is sold separately.

Rotisserie and rear burner

The 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner sits at the back of the firebox and pairs with the included rotisserie kit, so you can slow-roast a whole chicken or a pork loin with radiant heat from behind while the main burners stay off or low. It is the main reason to choose the L-Series over the T-Series.

Built for cooking after dark

Interior halogen lights light the grate when the hood is open, so you can check doneness at night without a flashlight. Diamond Sear stainless steel grids retain and radiate heat for faster cooking and well-defined sear marks, an analog thermometer in the hood reads the temperature without lifting the lid, and the removable warming rack adds 151 sq. in. for buns, vegetables or resting meat.

A cart that moves and folds

The 30CRT-25 cart gives you twin fold-down side shelves for prep space and serving, set at a 36" working height. Fold both down and the cart narrows from 64 1/8" to 44 1/4" wide for storage or a tight corner, or drop just one to fit against a railing. Insulated access doors close off the base for tools and the propane tank.

L-Series or T-Series?

Both have three burners, 45,000 BTU and 540 sq. in. of primary area. The L-Series adds the interior lights, the infrared rear burner and the rotisserie kit. If you will not use those, the T-Series 30" cart grill costs less and needs no power at the grill.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to build an island for it?

No. This is the freestanding version: the L-Series 30" head comes on AOG's 30CRT-25 portable cart base, so there is no countertop cutout and no insulating jacket to buy.

If you are building a permanent outdoor kitchen instead, the built-in AOG30LP and AOG30LN are the same grill head designed for a 30 1/2" cutout.

How much room does the cart take up?

64 1/8" wide with both side shelves up, 54 1/4" with one shelf up and one down, and 44 1/4" with both folded down. The cart base itself is 34 1/2" wide by 21 1/4" deep, and the shelves sit 36" off the floor.

Measure your patio with the shelves up, since that is how you will cook on it, and call 843-212-7209 if you are fitting it under a covered porch.

How many burners and how much output?

Three U-shaped 304 stainless steel main burners producing 45,000 BTUs combined, plus a 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner for rotisserie cooking.

Is the rotisserie kit included?

Yes. The rotisserie kit comes with the grill and pairs with the 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner.

What is the cooking area?

540 sq. in. of primary grilling space on 30" x 18" grids, plus a 151 sq. in. warming rack, for 691 sq. in. total.

Is it propane or natural gas?

Either, but you choose when you order. The propane version uses the AOG30LP head and the natural gas version uses the AOG30LN head; they are different grills.

The natural gas cart connects to your home's gas line with a hose that is sold separately.

Where does the propane tank go?

Inside the cart. A tank ring holds the cylinder in the base behind the insulated access doors, so it stays secure and out of sight.

Can I fold the side shelves down?

Yes. Both side shelves fold down, which narrows the cart from 64 1/8" to 44 1/4" wide. You can also run with one shelf up and one down at 54 1/4" wide to fit against a wall or railing.

What are the cooking grids made of?

Diamond Sear 304 stainless steel grids, which retain and radiate heat for faster cooking and well-defined sear marks.

Which cover fits it?

The AOC30 30" cart grill vinyl cover, which is cut for the cart.

The AOB30 built-in cover will not fit, because it is made for a grill head sitting in a countertop rather than a full cart.

Does it need electricity?

Yes, for the interior halogen lights. Plan for an outdoor outlet near where the cart will sit, and call 843-212-7209 if you want us to confirm the requirement for your setup.

If you would rather have no power at the grill, the T-Series 30" cart grill has no lights and lights with a piezo igniter.

What does the L-Series add over the T-Series 30 inch?

Interior halogen lights, the 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner and the rotisserie kit. Burner count, 45,000 BTUs and 540 sq. in. of primary area are the same on both.

How does it compare with the L-Series 36 inch cart?

This 30" runs three burners at 45,000 BTUs over 540 sq. in. with a 10,000 BTU rear burner and is 64 1/8" wide with the shelves up. The 36" L-Series cart runs 50,000 BTUs over 648 sq. in. with a 12,000 BTU rear burner and is 70 3/8" wide.

What is the warranty?

AOG covers the stainless steel burners with a limited lifetime warranty. Other parts, including the rear burner and rotisserie kit, carry shorter terms, so call 843-212-7209 and we will walk you through the full warranty before you order.
