Give your outdoor kitchen a safe, professional built-in installation with the American Outdoor Grill Insulating Liner for 36-inch L-Series and T-Series gas grills (model 36-IL-C). This liner fits between your grill head and the surrounding enclosure, shielding cabinetry, framing, and countertop materials from the high temperatures generated during cooking. Purpose-built for AOG's 36-inch grill heads, it ensures proper clearance and heat containment so your island or cabinet installation meets recommended safety guidelines. Frequently Asked Questions
What size cut-out does the 36-IL-C need?
40.625 inches wide by 21.625 inches deep by 9 inches high. Build the enclosure opening to those figures and the grill head then seats into the liner.
Which grill heads is it purpose-built for?
AOG 36 inch L-Series and T-Series gas grills. Verify the series marking on your grill head, because a liner built for a different size will not give you the correct clearance.
What does it protect?
Cabinetry, framing and countertop materials around the grill. The liner shields them from the high temperatures the grill generates during cooking.
Why does clearance matter in a built-in installation?
The liner establishes proper clearance and contains heat inside the opening, which is how a built-in installation into a custom island meets recommended safety guidelines.
Is it needed for a custom island build?
AOG describes it as a must-have component for anyone building a custom grill island around a 36 inch L/T-Series grill, so treat it as part of the grill purchase.
Will it hold up to years of cooking heat?
It is constructed to withstand sustained outdoor heat exposure, which is the load a liner takes every time the grill runs.
Do I need a different liner for a 24 or 30 inch grill?
Yes. Each grill width has its own liner - this one is only for the 36 inch heads. The liner collection lists the smaller sizes.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
