Frequently Asked Questions
How wide is this Line hood?
It is 36 inches wide, the narrowest of the three Line widths. Falmec also builds the same Line hood in 42 inch and 48 inch versions.
Match the width to the cooking area you are venting. A wider hood covers more of the smoke plume, but it also needs more wall.
How much air does the blower move?
It is rated at 1200 CFM. Falmec gives the 42 and 48 inch Line hoods the same 1200 CFM rating, so choosing this 36 inch model does not cost you airflow compared with the larger sizes.
Is this hood actually rated for outdoor installation?
Yes. Falmec lists it as an Outdoor Approved range hood, and the description states it works for both indoor and outdoor use.
That dual rating means one model covers a covered outdoor kitchen or an interior kitchen, so you are not choosing between an indoor and an outdoor version.
What is the hood made of?
Scotch Brite stainless steel in AISI 304. Falmec calls out that grade because it resists corrosion and stays hygienic and easy to clean.
Corrosion resistance is the specification that matters most outdoors, where the hood sits in humidity and grease-laden grill smoke year round.
What does NRS stand for on this hood?
NRS is Falmec's Noise Reduction System. Falmec's stated goal for it is that you can cook, work, talk and listen to music while the hood runs, instead of hearing the noise typical of cooker hoods.
Can I hang it over a free-standing island?
No. This is a wall mount hood, so it needs a wall or chase behind it to fasten to and to carry the duct.
If your grill sits in an island with open space on all sides, you need an island-mount hood rather than this one.
Where do I find the duct size and mounting height?
The Line instruction manual and the 36 inch technical spec sheet are both linked in the product description above, and they carry the dimensions and duct details this listing does not state.
Pull both files before you frame the wall or order duct, so the rough opening matches the hood you are buying.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
