Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose the 48 inch Pyramid over a smaller one?
At 48 inches it is the widest Pyramid, so it shadows a longer cooking run than the 36 inch or 42 inch versions.
Width is about capture area. A hood narrower than the equipment below it lets smoke escape at the ends no matter how strong the blower is.
Does the 48 inch model get a bigger blower?
No. It carries the same four-speed blower with a 1200 CFM maximum that Falmec fits to the other Pyramid widths.
What controls does it use?
Knobs for fan speed and lighting. They are simple to operate with one hand and give precise adjustment between the four speeds.
What lighting is built in?
LED lights over the cooking area. On a 48 inch hood that light is covering a wide surface, so it is worth checking the spec sheet for the lamp layout before you plan any additional task lighting.
How is grease captured?
Through professional stainless steel baffle filters, which Falmec lists as dishwasher-safe.
Cleaning them is routine maintenance on any hood over a grill, and a dishwasher-safe baffle keeps that from becoming a chore you skip.
What is the body made of?
AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch Brite finish, specified by Falmec for resistance to stains and corrosion.
Can I add a chimney to reach my ceiling?
Yes. An optional chimney extension is available to accommodate different ceiling heights and to finish the duct run.
Is this a wall or ceiling mount?
Wall mount. It hangs on the wall above the grill and needs that wall framed and ducted before finishing.
Will it work in a covered outdoor kitchen?
Yes. This is Falmec's Pyramid Outdoor hood, built for outdoor kitchens and grilling areas rather than adapted from an indoor model.
What else should I compare it against?
The other Falmec outdoor canopies and the rest of the range are grouped in the outdoor hoods collection, which is the fastest way to compare shapes at the same width.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
