Falmec Pyramid 36" Wall Mount Outdoor Hood, 1200 CFM
Frequently Asked Questions
How wide is the Pyramid 36?
36 inches. It is the smallest of the three Pyramid widths and mounts against a wall above your grill or cooking surface.
The 48 inch Pyramid covers a wider run if your layout has a side burner or griddle next to the grill.
How many fan speeds does it have?
Four, with a maximum capacity of 1200 CFM. The lower speeds are what you use for low-smoke cooking; the top speed is there for searing and for clearing a room quickly.
How are the fan and lights controlled?
By knobs on the hood. Falmec uses knob controls here for fan speed and lighting rather than a touch panel, which gives you a physical detent you can find without looking.
Does it have lighting over the grill?
Yes, LED lighting. It puts light directly on the cooking surface, which matters on an outdoor kitchen that gets used after dark.
What kind of grease filters does it use?
Professional stainless steel baffle filters. Baffles catch grease and cooking particles as air changes direction through them, and Falmec states these are dishwasher-safe.
That means filter maintenance is a rack in the dishwasher rather than a replacement part you have to source.
What is the hood built from?
AISI 304 stainless steel with a Scotch Brite finish, which Falmec specifies as resistant to stains and corrosion.
Do I need the chimney?
No. The chimney extension is optional, and Falmec offers it to suit different ceiling heights and to close in the duct for a finished look.
Decide before installation, because the ceiling height above the hood determines whether the extension is worth ordering.
Can this hood go over an island?
Not as a wall mount unit. The Pyramid is a wall mount range hood, so it needs a wall behind it for mounting and for the duct run.
Is it rated for an outdoor kitchen?
Yes. This is the Pyramid Outdoor hood, designed for outdoor kitchens and grilling areas, with construction chosen for that environment.
How does the Pyramid differ from Falmec's other outdoor hoods?
The Pyramid is the tapered wall canopy in Falmec's outdoor line, listed with a four-speed 1200 CFM blower, knob controls, LED lighting and dishwasher-safe baffle filters.
Compare it against the other shapes in the outdoor hoods collection to decide which profile suits your wall.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
