This is the two-piece deflector and drip pan rack for the Primo Oval X-Large — the frame that goes into the grill and holds whatever you want to put between the fire and the food. It is the rack on its own, not a heat deflector.
On a grill this size the rack is what makes a cook flexible. A barrier across it and you have shielded heat for a brisket. A pan across it and you are catching everything that comes off a bird instead of letting it burn onto the ceramic. Cover part of the frame and leave the rest clear, and the long oval bed gives you a shielded end and an open end at the same time. All of that happens without touching the fire once it is lit.

Yes, this rack is made for the Oval X-Large firebox and no other size. Primo racks are cut to the grill they drop into, so an X-Large rack will not work in a Large and a Large rack will not span the X-Large. Confirm your model and the rest is straightforward.
Is the heat deflector included with this rack?
