Le Griddle Stainless Lid for 75 Series Griddles — OMLLID75

The OMLLID75 is the stainless hood for 30-inch Le Griddle griddles — the GEE75, GFE75 and OML75. On a two-zone griddle a lid earns its keep fast: drop it over the cooler half and that side becomes a holding oven while the hot half keeps searing. Cheese melts, onions steam down instead of drying out, and a finished batch stays hot without going leathery.

Closed, it is also the cheapest insurance you can buy for a seasoned plate. Rain, pollen and leaves on bare carbon-steel seasoning mean stripping and re-seasoning; a lid means wiping and cooking. Over a season on an open patio that difference adds up to hours.

It is 304 stainless steel, made in the USA, and arrives complete with the lid, handle and mounting hardware. The grade and finish match the griddle, so they weather at the same rate rather than one going dull beside the other.

Check one dimension before you build: fully open, the lid needs 24" of clearance from the front of the griddle cabinet to the back of the lid. Backsplashes and overhead cabinets are what catch people out, and a lid that fouls a wall gets bent the first time it swings up. The griddles this fits are in our built-in griddles; the rest of the range is in grilling accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this lid right for my 30-inch griddle?

It fits the GEE75, GFE75 and OML75 — the 30-inch 75 Series. Check the model designation stamped on your griddle before ordering; the 40 and 105 Series each take their own lid.

What is the point of a lid on a two-zone griddle?

Drop it over the cooler half and that side becomes a holding oven while the hot half keeps searing. Cheese melts, onions steam down instead of drying out, and a finished batch stays hot without going leathery.

On a two-burner surface that effectively gives you a cooking zone and a holding zone at the same time.

How far back does the lid swing when it is open?

Fully open it needs 24" of clearance from the front of the griddle cabinet to the back of the lid. Backsplashes and overhead cabinets are what catch people out, and a lid that fouls a wall gets bent the first time it swings up.

Does it come with everything needed to mount it?

Yes — lid, handle and mounting hardware are all in the box.

Will it protect the seasoning between cooks?

That is the cheaper argument for it. Rain, pollen and leaves landing on bare carbon-steel seasoning mean stripping and re-seasoning; a closed lid means wiping and cooking. On an open patio that difference adds up over a season.

What grade of stainless is it, and where is it made?

304 stainless steel, made in the USA. The grade and finish match the griddle so the two age at the same rate.

Is the griddle included?

No, the lid is sold on its own. The griddles it fits are in our built-in griddles collection, and the rest of the range is under grilling accessories.
