RCS is proud to provide the industry’s most comprehensive warranty.
All RCS American Renaissance Grills, Cutlass Pro Series Grills and Cutlass Pro Series side burners, sinks, briquette trays, as well as ALL doors and drawers are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for the lifetime of the original owner.
All RCS Premier Series Grills and Premier Series Side Burners are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 15 years to the original owner.
All RCS Refrigeration products are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 7 years to the original owner.
All other products carry a one-year warranty to the original owner.
This RCS warranty is effective for product sales beginning April 14th, 2025.

This warranty excludes normal surface corrosion, discoloration, surface scratches and surface rust which may occur. Improper maintenance, salt spray, chemicals, pesticides will affect the look and integrity of the components of these products. RCS will not be responsible for any damage caused as a result of not following owner’s manual instructions. This non-transferrable warranty is limited to the replacement of original (one-time) defective parts, does not include shipping and labor to remove or install replacement parts, if necessary. The owner must retain and submit their original receipt with any warranty claim to receive warranty parts. The warranty applies to the original owner only. What cutout does the VDD2SC need?
The opening is 42-1/2" wide by 19-1/2" high. That is a wide single opening, so make sure your island framing carries the span above it.
What is the finished size on the island?
The door measures 44-7/8" wide by 22" high overall. It covers the cut edge with roughly 1-1/4" of overlap on each side.
How do the doors operate?
Two doors on soft-close hinges, each opening a full 90 degrees, with recessed handles. At 90 degrees the whole 42-1/2" opening is clear, which is the point of going wide.
What can go behind it?
It is meant to conceal tools, utilities or a propane tank. The width also means you can reach across to plumbing or a valve manifold on one side while storing gear on the other.
What is it made from?
Double-lined 304 stainless steel. The double lining matters more at this width, since a single-skin door of nearly 45" would flex.
Is the large door overkill for my island?
If you only need to reach one cabinet bay, the VDD1SC covers a 30-1/2" opening in the same construction and swing.
Go with the VDD2SC when a single wide opening replaces two separate doors — fewer seams across the island face and unobstructed access to the whole cavity.
