How many bins does the VTD2 hold and are they included?
Two 50-liter removable plastic bins, both included. Two bins in one drawer is what lets you separate trash from recycling without a second cabinet.
What cutout does it need?
The opening is 17-5/8" wide by 27-1/2" deep by 24-5/8" high. Depth is the constraint here, not width.
What is the overall size of the unit?
It measures 20" wide by 27" high by 28-1/8" deep overall. The face overlaps the cutout on each side, and the body sits about half an inch deeper than the opening you cut.
Can the bins be taken out?
Yes, both plastic bins lift out of the drawer. That is how you empty them — you carry the bin, not the drawer.
What is the drawer itself made of?
Double-lined 304 stainless steel. On a trash drawer the double lining also puts a second layer between the bins and the island cavity.
Do I need a deep island for this?
Yes. At 27-1/2" of cutout depth it needs noticeably more room front to back than the Valiant storage drawers, which call for 22". Confirm your island depth before choosing a double trash drawer over a single.
Is a pull-out drawer better than a bin in a cabinet?
A drawer keeps refuse out of sight and odors contained behind a stainless face, and you pull it out at waist height rather than bending into a cabinet. Compare the formats across roll-out and pull-out trash bins.

All RCS Premier Series Grills and Premier Series Side Burners are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 15 years to the original owner.
All RCS Refrigeration products are warrantied to be free from manufacturer defects for 7 years to the original owner.
All other products carry a one-year warranty to the original owner.
This RCS warranty is effective for product sales beginning April 14th, 2025.

This warranty excludes normal surface corrosion, discoloration, surface scratches and surface rust which may occur. Improper maintenance, salt spray, chemicals, pesticides will affect the look and integrity of the components of these products. RCS will not be responsible for any damage caused as a result of not following owner’s manual instructions. This non-transferrable warranty is limited to the replacement of original (one-time) defective parts, does not include shipping and labor to remove or install replacement parts, if necessary. The owner must retain and submit their original receipt with any warranty claim to receive warranty parts. The warranty applies to the original owner only.
