This is the stainless steel side shelf set for the Primo Oval X-Large and Large, sold as an addition to a cart you already own. It requires the Primo Cart Base with Basket for X-Large and Large, SKU PG00368. Without that cart there is nothing for the shelves to attach to, so order them together if you are starting from scratch.
What they add is the surface a kamado cook keeps needing. Deflector plates and grates come out hot and have to be put down somewhere; food waits before it goes on and rests after it comes off; the thermometer, tongs and gloves all want to be beside the lid rather than indoors. Stainless handles heat, grease and weather better than most alternatives and cleans up with a cloth.
One set covers both grill sizes, because the cart underneath does. If you would rather have a single finished surface running around the grill instead of a shelf on each side, the 2-piece island top is the other thing that mounts to the same cart — it is one or the other, not both.
The cart they need is the Primo Cart Base with Basket for Oval X-Large and Large, and the alternative surface is the Primo 2-Piece Island Top for Oval X-Large and Large. They serve the Primo Oval X-Large ceramic charcoal grill and the Primo Oval Large ceramic charcoal grill; browse the rest in Primo grill accessories.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use these side shelves on their own?
No. They are listed as requiring the Primo Cart Base with Basket, SKU PG00368, and they mount to that cart rather than standing by themselves. This listing is for owners who already have the cart. If you do not, add the cart to your order or buy the version that comes with shelves already fitted.
Which grills does this shelf set cover?
The Oval X-Large and the Oval Large, matching the cart it fits, which is listed for both sizes. That means you are not choosing a different shelf part for each of those grills. It does not cover the Oval Junior, the Round or the Oval XX-Large.
Will these fit the Junior cart?
No. The Junior has its own cart and its own shelves, sold as the Primo Stainless Steel Side Shelves for Oval Junior, which require the Junior cart base. Shelf sets follow the cart they bolt to, so buy against the cart in your yard rather than against the grill alone.
Is this one shelf or a pair?
The listing is the side shelf set for the cart, not a single shelf sold one at a time, so you do not need to order two to get a surface on each side. Read it the way the title is written — shelves, plural, as one purchase.
Should I choose side shelves or the island top?
Both mount to the same cart base, so it is a straight choice. Side shelves give you two separate work surfaces flanking the grill. The 2-piece island top gives a finished top around the grill and reads more like built-in cabinetry. Cost and the look you want will decide it.
I already have the cart. Is this all I need?
Yes. If a Primo Cart Base with Basket for X-Large and Large is already under your grill, this shelf set is the only part required to add work surface to it. Nothing else in the range has to be bought alongside it, and the grill itself is untouched by the change.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.

I was caught in a bind with a DIFFERENT provider, and Ryan was able to get me exactly what I needed, he reached out to the manufacturer for me to confirm specs and had my shipment mailed out same day. If you’re in the market for any outdoor kitchen needs, look no further than Northwoods!
