What does "raised style" mean for my island?
The component stands 1-1/2 inches off the finished wall rather than sitting flush with it.
That proud mount is what lets it work over veneer stone and stucco, and an extra 4 inch deep inside flange handles masonry stone construction.
Is the shelf on the door or inside the box?
It is a door shelf, sized for oversized grill tools and spice bottles.
Everything on it swings out with the door, so you are not reaching blind into the island.

The Sunstone® Designer Series, Raised Style 15 In. Width by 23 In. Height Left and Right Swing Single Door with inside Shelf accommodates oversized grill tools and spices. The door is specially designed to be the same consistent 23 In.height as all other Designer Series components – which provide a true designer friendly appeal. The component is raised off the finish wall 1-1/2 inches so to work with most any island structure including Veneer Stone, Stucco and as extra 4 inch deep inside flange to work with all Masonry Stone types. In Addition the frame is designed with an additional 1/16 inch frame around all four sides of component. Which makes the components multi-configurable Vertically & Horizontally, and are styled to match with Sunstone® Cabinet Island products, with both Cabinet Island and individual Designer Component combinations. |
