Signature Series Beveled Style Left Swing or Right Swing Vented Vertical Access Doors are your perfect solution for accessing the island interior , either being large enough for a Propane Tank, Trash Bin, or Extra Storage.  Perfect for multiple installation types like Dry-Wall Board, Brick, Veneer Stone or Masonry Stacked Brick   Also use these Doors in Place of an Outdoor Kitchen Island Vent, providing superb airflow or gas-ventilation while giving you clear access to the internal compartment. The Signature Series Doors create a Modern Industrial feel and feature a sleek light brushed #4 Finish with a squared frame and angled handle. All Signature Series are offered with same matching finish as grill, and other doors and drawers with polished handles. Doors fit flush against island exterior wall, so it’s perfect for multiple types of installation and with internal hinges, doors open 120 degrees insuring they do not ding against the finished stone wall and provide clean look.

The BA-VDHL1420 needs a 21 inch wide by 15 inch high opening; the BA-VDHL1724 needs 25 inches wide by 18 inches high.

Confirm the model designation on your order matches the opening you framed — the two are close enough that a mix-up is easy.

Does a vented door satisfy island venting?

Sunstone states these can be used in place of an outdoor kitchen island vent, giving airflow and gas ventilation while still opening for access.

You get the vent and the access door in one opening instead of two.

Can I choose left or right swing?

Yes, both models are offered in left swing or right swing.

Is the opening large enough for a propane tank?

Both sizes are sized to pass a propane tank, a trash bin or bulk storage into the island interior.

How wide do the doors open?

120 degrees, on internal hinges chosen so the door clears a finished stone wall without hitting it.

Is there a solid version with the same cutout?

Yes. The BA-DH single access door uses the same 21 by 15 and 25 by 18 inch cutouts without the vents.

That lets you put a vented door under the grill and a solid one where you want the compartment closed, with one opening size for both.

What is the construction?

Solid 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with interior framed-in doors, a light brushed #4 finish, a squared frame and an angled contemporary handle.

What island surfaces does it install into?

Drywall board, brick, veneer stone and masonry stacked brick, using the pre-drilled frame holes. Top and bottom magnets hold the door closed.
