Description
The Sunstone Ruby Series 13” Versa Burner is a versatile and powerful cooking addition to any outdoor kitchen. This single burner is designed for high-searing heat, making it perfect for WOK cooking, stir-frying, or simmering sauces.
With an adjustable all-surround flame, the 15,000 BTU brass burner provides superior heat control and performance. Sunstone Ruby Series 13" Versa Single Side Burner SUN13VSB - 15,000 BTUs, Countertop or Drop-In
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the SUN13VSB sit on a counter, or does it have to be built in?
Either. It is designed for both countertop placement and drop-in installation, using integrated adjustable legs to set the height.
That flexibility also means you can orient it vertically, horizontally or beside a second unit and build the configuration you want.
What size opening does it need if I drop it in?
12" wide, 20 1/4" deep and 9" high.
The burner measures 13" wide by 23 1/2" deep by 12 1/2" high overall, so it sits proud of the opening on all sides.
How much heat does the burner make?
15,000 BTUs from a brass Versa burner with an adjustable all-surround flame.
The all-surround flame is why it handles a wok — the heat wraps the base of the pan instead of hitting one spot.
What is the cooking grate?
A solid 3/8" stainless steel raised grate. Raising it improves airflow to the flame, which keeps heat consistent under the pan.
What is the body made of?
18-gauge 304 stainless steel with polished accents.
How does it light?
Piezo valve ignition, so ignition happens at the valve when you turn the knob.
Does it come in natural gas?
Both natural gas and propane configurations exist for this burner. Check the model suffix on what you order before installing.
Does the control knob get hot?
The gas valve knob is oversized with a rubber grip that acts as a heat buffer, which is the safety detail worth knowing on a burner running at high searing heat.
What is it best suited to cooking?
High-heat work: wok cooking, stir-frying and reducing or simmering sauces alongside the grill.
Is there a cover for it?
A deluxe vinyl cover is offered separately for this burner.
Would the double burner be a better choice?
Only if you need two pots at once. The 13" Versa Double Side Burner puts 30,000 BTUs and 220 square inches of cooking space in the same 12" x 20 1/4" x 9" cutout.
The trade is installation: the double is slide-in only, while this single can also live on a countertop.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
