Which grills does the TF-IRB fit?

TrueFlame TF Series grills only. It goes in at an existing burner position, so it is not a universal part you can move to another brand's grill.

Does it add a burner or take the place of one?

It replaces one. The sear burner is a direct swap for an existing burner in the grill, which means you trade a conventional burner position for an infrared one rather than gaining an extra.

What does an infrared burner do that a standard burner does not?
