TrueFlame 40" Built-In Gas Grill TF40 - 5 Burners, 70,000 BTUs, 304 Stainless Steel
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the total output of the TF40?
80,000 BTUs: five 14,000 BTU cast stainless steel burners for 70,000 BTUs of main cooking power, plus a 10,000 BTU infrared rear burner.
How much cooking space does it have?
892 sq. in. of total cooking area, including a warming rack and removable inset cooking grates.
That is the amount of grate you need if you regularly cook for a full table rather than a family of four.
What is the rear burner for?
Rotisserie cooking. It is an infrared rear burner rated at 10,000 BTU.
Infrared behind the food is what browns a roast evenly as it turns, instead of scorching whichever side faces down.
What cutout dimensions does it need?
38.25" W x 20.75" D x 8.25" H.
How large is the grill body?
39.7" W x 25.6" D x 21.6" H.
Is there lighting inside the hood?
Yes, interior halogen lighting for cooking after dark.
How does it ignite?
Flame Thrower ignition.
What is the construction?
#304 stainless steel, with an ETL-certified design.
Does the hood hold partway open?
Yes. It uses a multi-position balanced hood hinge.
Useful on a grill this wide, where a full-length hood is heavy to hold by hand while you work.
Which fuel types are available?
Natural gas or liquid propane. Verify your model designation matches your gas supply before ordering.
Are the grates removable?
Yes, the inset cooking grates are removable.
Is 40 inches more grill than I need?
It depends on how many burners you will actually light. Five independent burners plus the rear rotisserie burner is aimed at cooking several dishes at once. Compare the range in 40-inch built-in grills before committing the island space.

I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
