American Made Grills FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where are American Made Grills manufactured?

American Made Grills are designed and engineered in the United States, and the company builds, inspects, tests, and services its grills domestically. The grill bodies are fabricated from commercial-grade 304 stainless steel. As with essentially all appliance manufacturing, that describes where the grill is built and supported rather than a claim that every individual component is sourced from a U.S. supplier — warranty service and replacement parts are handled domestically, which is often the practical difference owners notice most. What materials are used to build the grills?

All American Made Grills are constructed from commercial-grade 304 stainless steel, which offers superior corrosion resistance and durability. This makes them well-suited for built-in outdoor kitchens and exposure to the elements — a meaningful advantage in coastal and high-humidity climates.

What grill lines does American Made Grills offer?

American Made Grills offers several lines to fit different needs and budgets. The Estate series is the core gas line, represented by the Estate 36" EST36 and Estate 42" EST42, with a value-oriented Estate Freedom 36" EST36-FR variant. The Atlas series uses U-tube burners, as on the Atlas 36" ATS36-B and Atlas 42" ATS42-B. The Encore, Muscle, and Ovation series are hybrid grills that burn gas, charcoal, and wood — see the Encore 36" ENC36, the Muscle 36" MUS36, and the Ovation 42" OVA42. The Alturi series sits at the top of the gas range, including the Alturi 36" ALT36T. Each line offers a range of sizes and burner configurations for both built-in and freestanding installations.

Do American Made Grills come with a warranty?

Yes. American Made Grills products are backed by a manufacturer's warranty that covers key components such as burners, grates, and the stainless steel housing. Because the company services its products domestically, warranty claims and replacement parts are handled in the United States. Warranty terms vary by component, so we recommend reviewing the documentation included with your specific grill model.

Can these grills be built into an outdoor kitchen?

Absolutely. Most American Made Grills models are designed for built-in installation in outdoor kitchen islands, and many are also available as freestanding carts — the same head appears both ways, as with the Atlas 36" freestanding cart and the Estate 30" cart grill. Compare the full selection of freestanding cart grills if you are not building an island. Always follow the manufacturer's clearance and ventilation requirements during installation.

Do I need an insulating liner for a built-in installation?

If the island contains wood framing or other combustible materials, yes. American Made Grills publishes a model-specific jacket for each grill — for example the insulating liner for the Estate 42". Liners are not interchangeable between models or brands, and fitting one usually changes the required island cutout, so select the grill and its liner together before construction begins. Browse all insulating liners and jackets.

What fuel types are available?

American Made Grills are available in both natural gas and liquid propane configurations. Be sure to select the correct fuel type for your setup, as conversions may affect warranty coverage.

What else can I add from the same line?

American Made Grills builds matching outdoor kitchen components so a full island can be finished in one finish and one handle style. Common additions include side burners and power burners such as the Estate power burner ESTPB2, along with access doors, storage drawers, and pull-out trash drawers.

How do I care for and clean my grill?

To keep your grill looking and performing its best, clean the cooking grates after each use, wipe down the stainless steel surfaces with a dedicated stainless cleaner, and use a grill cover when the unit is not in use — American Made Grills publishes fitted covers by model, such as the Estate 42" built-in deluxe cover. Avoid abrasive cleaners that can scratch the finish.
