The 36" Hybrid Built-In Grill Cover (GRILLCOV-AMG36) is cut specifically for the 36" Encore, Muscle and Ovation built-in hybrid grills, which is the whole point — a tailored cover sheds water off the hood instead of pooling on it, and does not flap itself to pieces in wind the way a generic cover does. Constructed from heavy-duty PVC, fully water-resistant and UV-protected to slow the fading and embrittlement that kills cheap covers after two summers. The material is the part people skip when comparing covers, and it is the part that determines whether you are buying one cover or one every eighteen months.
A built-in cover only has to protect what sits above the counter, which on a hybrid means the hood, the control panel and the knobs. That is where every failure point lives: the ignition module, the LED wiring, and the valve stems. Water getting past the knob bezels is what takes these grills out of service, not rain on the lid.
Inside, a soft flannel backing sits against the stainless. This matters more than it sounds: an unlined cover traps grit against the finish and, with enough wind cycles, polishes fine scratches into the hood. The flannel layer is what keeps the stainless looking like stainless.
