Constructed from heavy-duty PVC, fully water-resistant and UV-protected to slow the fading and embrittlement that kills cheap covers after two summers. The material is the part people skip when comparing covers, and it is the part that determines whether you are buying one cover or one every eighteen months.
On the 30-inch cart the shelves fold and the footprint tightens, so the cover is cut to fit the grill in its stored configuration. Fold the shelves before covering — a cover fitted over extended shelves leaves gaps at the corners where water gets in.
Inside, a soft flannel backing sits against the stainless. This matters more than it sounds: an unlined cover traps grit against the finish and, with enough wind cycles, polishes fine scratches into the hood. The flannel layer is what keeps the stainless looking like stainless.
