The ARTP-26D is the widest single access door Artisan builds before the line moves to double doors, which makes it the one to specify when something bulky has to pass through a single opening — a propane tank lifted in and out, a bag of charcoal, a bin of cleaning supplies. It is built from 304 stainless steel to the same standard as the rest of Artisan's outdoor kitchen products, with a matching design so it drops into an island face beside an Artisan grill without looking like an afterthought. Easy-close operation and a magnetic closure keep it shut with no latch to work. Order it as ARTP-26DL for a left hinge or ARTP-26DR for a right hinge; because it is a single door, the whole 26" opening swings clear on whichever side you choose.

Model and Installation Information

The model is ARTP-26D, sold in two hinge orientations: ARTP-26DL hinged on the left and ARTP-26DR hinged on the right. The hinge side is a purchasing decision made at order time, not something to change once the door is on site, so settle it against the island layout first — which direction the door needs to open away from, where a person stands to reach inside, and whether an adjacent appliance door or a corner return would block the swing.

Cutout dimensions are not published in this product's data. Open the ARTP-26D spec sheet linked above and confirm the required rough opening against your island drawings before the island is built or an existing opening is enlarged, or call us and we will confirm the figures before you order. Do not derive an opening from the 26" nominal width, and do not borrow the cutout from the 17" ARTP-17D or from any Artisan double-door model — each width is framed differently.

Who This Model Is Best For

This is the door for the main storage bay of the island rather than a filler gap. At 26" it is wide enough that a standard propane tank, a bulk bag of charcoal or a stacked bin can be moved in and out without fighting a center post, which is exactly the case where the narrower 17" ARTP-17D becomes awkward. Choose it when you want one clear opening into the cabinet body and do not need drawers in the same frame — it is an access door only, with no drawer box or trash bin behind it.
