Artisan Double Side Burner Shelf Mount for Cart Models ARTPC-SB2M

An Artisan cart grill comes with a side shelf. The ARTPC-SB2M replaces that shelf with a double side burner. It is the interface kit Alfresco (Artisan's manufacturer) makes to mount and connect the Artisan ARTP-SB2 double side burner to an Artisan cart, on either the left or the right side. The kit supplies the brackets that hold the burner, back and side cover panels that close in its perimeter, a cord strain relief and grommets, and the gas piping to tee the burner into the grill's own regulator — a 54-inch stainless flex line, two compression adapters, a tee and a close nipple. That last part is the point: the side burner runs on the same gas supply as the grill, so a cart owner gets two extra 15,000 BTU burners without a second tank or a second line. The side burner itself is sold separately.

Alfresco lists the ARTPC-SB2M on the series pages for the Artisan American Eagle 26" cart (AAEP-26C), Artisan American Eagle 32" cart (AAEP-32C), Artisan American Eagle 36" cart (AAEP-36C), Artisan Artisan Series 36" cart (ART-36C), Artisan Professional 32" cart (ARTP-32C) and Artisan Professional 36" cart (ARTP-36C), as well as the 42-inch Artisan Series cart. Its newer ARTPC-SB2M-01 assembly manual describes the kit as fitting all Artisan cart models, including 2020-and-later carts with folding side shelves, where the shelf brackets also come off. If your cart is not named here, call us with its model number before ordering. It is not for built-in grills; the ARTP-SB2 installs into an island on its own.

The assembly manuals set out the job. Remove the side shelf, fasten the main bracket to the cart's side panel and the back bracket to the side burner, then set the burner's flange over the bracket and secure it. For the gas: shut off the supply (on propane, close and remove the tank), swap the side burner's regulator fitting for the supplied adapter, route the flex line into the cart through the grommets, and fit the tee and nipple at the grill's regulator to feed both. Leak-test every connection before fitting the back and side covers and routing the power cord through the strain relief. The ARTP-SB2 is a 115 VAC appliance, so it needs an outlet too. Gas work should be done or checked by a qualified installer.

Who This Model Is Best For

This kit is for an Artisan cart owner who has run out of burner space — the person boiling corn or simmering a sauce while the main grill is full — and wants a proper two-burner cooktop on the cart rather than a separate appliance. It suits a patio without an island, or a renter who wants a full cooking station that can move. If you only need one burner, the simpler ARTC-SBM-01 single side burner shelf with the ART-SB1 is the lighter option.
