The ARTP-DDC-36SC is the wider of Artisan's two door-and-drawer combos, built for a 33 5/8" wide opening. One 36" frame holds a right-hinged access door and a two-drawer stack, which means one cutout to build and one set of edges to line up with the grill instead of two separate units fighting for alignment. The extra width over the 32" model goes into the drawers themselves — this is still a two-drawer layout, with wider boxes rather than more of them. Construction is 304 stainless steel throughout, the same material Artisan uses on its grills so the door faces and handles read as one run of cabinetry. The drawers run on full-length soft-close glides that extend far enough to reach items at the back, and the door uses magnetic closures.

On a combo the depth figure carries as much weight as the width, because the drawer boxes run the full depth of the opening — an island that can give the width but not the 19 3/4" behind the face will not take this unit.

This model is built right-hinged; no left-hand version is listed. That is fixed at the factory rather than chosen at order time, so lay the island out around a door that opens to the right. Confirm all three figures against the ARTP-DDC-36SC spec sheet linked above before the island is built or an opening is enlarged, and note that the 32" ARTP-DDC-32SC takes a narrower 29 1/2" cutout — depth and height are the same between the two, the width is not. No insulating liner or combustible-clearance requirement is published for this unit.
