Artisan 24" Single Drawer Unit ARTP-DR-24SC

Some outdoor kitchen storage is about small things close at hand, and some is about big things: grill covers, bags of pellets or charcoal, platters and sheet pans. The ARTP-DR-24SC is Artisan's answer for the second kind — a single, wide drawer 24 inches across and 16-1/2 inches high, in 304 stainless steel, on full-length soft-close ball-bearing slides. One wide drawer pulls everything out to the front of the island at once, which is easier than reaching into the back of a cabinet. The island opening is 21-1/2" wide by 14" high. Artisan's current spec sheet uses ARTP-DR-24SC; some older Artisan pages still show an earlier ARTP-D-24SC number.

Model and Installation Information

The ARTP-DR-24SC installs into a front opening in the island, 21-1/2" wide by 14" high, with the 24" x 16-1/2" face covering the cut. Take the required depth from Artisan's spec sheet linked on this page — we have not published a depth figure because dealer listings disagree — and leave room in front of the island for the drawer's full extension.

A 24-inch drawer is often placed under a counter run between the grill and a refrigerator or beside a door and drawer combo. If it sits next to the grill, check the grill's installation manual for any clearance required to adjacent components.

Who This Model Is Best For

This drawer is for an island that needs somewhere to keep large, awkward things out of the weather — covers, fuel, serving pieces — and has 24 inches of face to give. It suits cooks who find a narrow drawer stack fills up fast and a cabinet door hides things at the back.
