The Primo Oval Junior Rotisserie Kit is the rotisserie for the Primo Oval Junior. Each Primo rotisserie is built for one grill, and this is the Junior's, so the size word in the title settles the compatibility question outright.
Turning meat over a fire does something no fixed position can. Fat that renders out runs around the surface of the roast instead of dripping straight off one face, so the meat bastes itself continuously in its own fat rather than drying on the side facing the heat. Nothing sits still long enough to scorch, skin dries and tightens as it passes through the hot air, and the whole exterior colours at the same rate. That is why a rotisserie chicken tastes different from a roasted one, and it works on a small grill exactly as it does on a large one.
Made for the Primo Oval Junior ceramic charcoal grill. The rotisserie accessories are not size specific, so the Primo 3-sided rotisserie basket and the Primo kebab holder both ride on this kit. Put a Primo half drip pan for the Oval Junior underneath to catch what comes off.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will this rotisserie fit my Primo Oval Junior?
Yes, the Junior is the grill it is made for. Primo sells a rotisserie kit per grill size and they are not interchangeable, so an Oval Large or Round kit will not mount on a Junior. If your grill's name says Junior, this is the one.
Is a rotisserie worth it on the smallest Primo?
For chicken, comfortably. A spit does its best work on smaller, fattier things that can turn freely with clearance around them, and a whole bird is exactly that. What a compact grill asks of you is honesty about size, since a roast that grazes the ceramic as it turns is too big for the setup regardless of weight.
Do the Primo rotisserie baskets fit this kit?
They do. The baskets and the kebab holder carry no grill size in their titles because they attach to the rotisserie rather than seating in a firebox. What you need is the rotisserie kit matching your grill, which is this one, and the accessories then work with it.
How should I set the fire up for spit roasting?
Indirect, with the coals banked to one side rather than spread under the meat. Fat falling onto live charcoal flares and coats the food in sooty smoke, so you want the fire beside the load and a drip pan below it. That pan also collects drippings worth keeping.
What can go wrong on a first attempt?
Usually balance. A load mounted off centre wobbles as it turns, cooks unevenly and puts strain on everything holding it. Centre the roast, truss it tight so nothing flops out as it loosens up, and give it a slow hand turn before you start to check it rotates smoothly.
Let customers speak for us
I absolutely love my Coyote gas grill! The quality is excellent, it looks beautiful, and I’m very happy with my purchase.
I also want to give a special thank you to Ryan at Northwoods Grills. He was incredibly helpful from the very beginning. Before my grill even arrived, he took the time to help me with measurements and answered all of my questions to make sure everything would fit properly. He was always very attentive, patient, friendly, and easy to communicate with. His customer service really made a difference and made the whole experience so much easier for me.
It’s not often that you receive this level of personal attention and customer service. I truly appreciate all of Ryan’s help and would absolutely recommend Northwoods Grills. Great product and outstanding customer service!

Best pricing available for the product (checked all other on line retailers), and Ryan provided excellent responsiveness during the sales process. Loved dealing directly with the owner vs a sales person.
Delivery was completed within a week of the order and Ryan stayed in touch with consistent follow-up to ensure the products met my expectations.
Will recommend to friends / others looking for a high-end built in grill and matching cabinets.
