Primo Oval Junior Ceramic Charcoal Grill - All-In-One Package PGCJRC

What comes in the Oval Junior All-In-One package?

The Junior ceramic grill plus a heavy-duty stand, side shelves, an ash tool and a grate lifter. It is the complete setup rather than the bare cooker, so there is no separate base to choose, no shelves to add, and the two tools you use most often are already in the box.

How is this different from the Oval Junior grill head?

This one stands up by itself. The head-only Oval Junior is just the ceramic body, bought when it is going into a cypress countertop table, a cart base or Primo's portable GO base. If none of those are in your plan, the All-In-One saves you a decision.

Is the Oval Junior big enough for ribs?

Yes, with a rack. Standing ribs on edge in a five-slot rib rack uses height instead of floor space, and the multi-size racks Primo lists for the X-Large, Large, Junior and Round all fit here. Whole racks may need trimming or curling, which is normal on a compact grill.

Can I take this one camping or tailgating?

The All-In-One is built to stay put on its stand rather than travel. If portability is the point, buy the Junior head and pair it with Primo's GO portable base and top, which is the setup designed for moving the grill around rather than parking it on a patio.

Do Oval Large accessories fit the Junior?

No, not the ones that go inside the grill. Junior deflector plates, griddles, searing grates and extension racks are all cut smaller. Some racks and baking stones are listed for Junior alongside the Round, Large and X-Large, and those are genuinely shared — the accessory title tells you which sizes it covers.

How much charcoal does the Junior use?

Noticeably less than the bigger Ovals, which is part of the appeal. A smaller firebox means less lump per cook and a faster climb to temperature, so it suits weeknight cooking where you do not want to burn through half a bag to grill four burgers.

What do I need to smoke on it?

Heat deflector plates and a couple of wood chunks. The plates block direct radiant heat so the grill runs as an oven; the wood goes in with the lump rather than on top of it, so it smoulders rather than flaring. Then set the vents low and leave the lid shut.

Which grill cover fits the Junior All-In-One?

The cover cut for All-In-One grills — Primo lists one covering the Round, Junior and Large All-In-One models together. Covers made for a Junior in a cart or in a countertop table are shaped for those surrounds instead, so match the cover to the base as well as the grill.
